In a heartfelt endeavor to honor and assist Queensland veterans and their families, the Queensland Remembers Grants Program continues to make a meaningful impact.
This initiative, now entering its third round, pledges substantial funding to eligible organizations that share the noble goal of supporting our veterans. The essence of the Queensland Remembers Grants Program lies in its commitment to enriching the lives of Queensland veterans and their families. By providing funding to qualifying organizations, this program aims to facilitate a range of projects and activities that acknowledge the sacrifices and contributions of our veterans. The upcoming round of the Grants Program presents three distinct grant streams, each catering to different aspects of support: 1. Major Capital Works Grants Program: Organizations seeking to undertake substantial initiatives such as internal building refurbishments, accessibility enhancements, and communal meeting area upgrades can apply for grants ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 (excluding GST). 2. Minor Capital Works Grants Program: For those focusing on repairs and maintenance of existing facilities, grants ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 (excluding GST) are available to ensure that essential infrastructure remains in prime condition. 3. Community Grants Program: This stream welcomes eligible organizations, including local councils, to apply for grants ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 (excluding GST). These funds can be utilized for commemorative events, memorial creation or refurbishment, and other projects that pay homage to our veterans' legacy. As anticipation builds, mark your calendars for the expected opening of the next round of the Grants Program in August 2023. This is an opportunity to contribute to initiatives that uphold the spirit of remembrance and honor the resilience of our veterans. Eligibility extends to organizations dedicated to serving the veterans' community, encompassing ex-service organizations, not-for-profit entities committed to veterans' welfare, and local councils (for Community Grants Program only). By engaging a diverse range of organizations, the program ensures a comprehensive approach to supporting our veterans.
